Can you tell us some general stuff about yourselves, who are
you, why are you here, what do you do back at home?
We're EVS volunteers from Poland, we helped with preparing
your national jamboree (Zlet), here we help cleaning the bathroom and dining
area, we painted the fence and we collect wood for evening fires. In Poland
we're both volunteers in an information centre, where we work as consultants
for a project called Sempre a frente. We coordinate youth exchanges and some
workshops for children. We work in 5 different groups: children with special
needs, pathology families, flash mobs (colorful group), working with volunteers
to be more open and organizing public events (magic group) and organizing training
courses about communication, youth politics … Together we coordinate youth exchanges,
EVS volunteering …
What do you think about scouts, what's your impression of
us, do you consider becoming a scout yourself?
It's our first time sleeping in tents because in our group
there's only one scout (our group leader). But all in all it's a good, positive
experience, a chance to learn some more. We would definitely do it again, maybe
even in Poland, so yes, we consider becoming scouts back at home.
Do you know anything about scouts in Poland, what do you
think about them?
We don't know any scouts from Poland, so we don't really
know much, they don't really appear in media a lot.
Before coming here, you were at our national jamboree
(Zlet). How was it, how was it different from here?
On the national jamboree we were staff members, we prepared
meals, workshops about Poland, polish songs and yoga. The main difference is
that here we feel totally different, but we don't know what's better. Zlet was
fantastic because it was our first experience with scouts, but here it's like
back at home, the atmosphere is very good. Here we have more free time, we had
more activities on jamboree.
Who's better looking, polish guys or slovenian guys?
We don't know, probably both pretty much the same. People are
very similiar in both countries.
Do you have anything else to say?
Before EVS we were afraid how it will be, because we have
never slept in a tent before, but when we came here, we felt better because our
group cooperates very well and now we don't want to go home and go back to
school (luckily we'll be here for two more weeks).
